Swiss Roll Cake Recipe in Urdu


1. Sift gram flour twice.


2. Beat the egg white and yolk in separate bowls.


3. Add crushed sugar with ghee and beat well.


4. Now add gram flour and eggs to the beaten ghee and sugar mixture using plastic or wooden spoon.


5. Make a layer of gram flour with ghee in baking tray; leave the rest of the gram flour aside.


6. Pour the mixture in the tray and form a thin layer so as to form a thin sheet like cake.


7. Now bake it for 15 to 20 minutes at 180 degrees.


8. When baked, check with a knife if it is not fully baked. (If you find batter on the knife, bake for 4 to 5 more minutes)


9. Now take it out from the oven and revert into a large pan.


10. When it gets to normal temperature, apply chocolate spread, cream or jam or jelly, apply throughout the cake.


11. Now roll it tightly; you can also roll it in the paper; place in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into slices and cool the slices bit more.

  3. Ghee or Oil: 2 tablespoons

  4. Eggs: 2

  2. Fresh cream or jam

Swiss Roll Method

  1. Sift gram flour twice. Beat the egg white and yolk in separately. Beat crushed sugar with ghee combinedly. Now using wooden or plastic spoon, add gram flour and eggs to the beaten ghee and sugar mixture.

  2. Heat up the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Pour the mixture into a large size baking tray so that a thin shape cake may be formed.

  3. Bake it for 15 to 20 minutes. Take it out of oven after baking and instantly revert into a large size pan and place into fridge for 15 to 20 minutes. Then take out from fridge and make slices.

  4. Place these slices into freezer for some minutes..

  5. Enjoy the delicious yummy Swiss rolls.

Notes

  1. Before making slices, sprinkle crushed sugar onto the cake.

  2. Preheat the oven before 20 minutes.

  3. Use large size baking tray so the cake gets formed in a thin layer and gets rolled easily.
