1 bamboo shoot
4 oz. gram flour
1/4 pint (U.S. cup) water
½ teaspoon chilli powder salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
How to make Bamboo Shoot Fritters (Moong Pakora)

METHOD:

Clean, wash and slice the bamboo shoot finely. Sieve gram flour into a bowl and mix with the water to make a thickish batter. Add chilli powder and salt. Mix well and add the bamboo shoot. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and drop teaspoonsful of the battei into the hot oil. Fry until golden. Drain and serve hot.
