Aloo Keema
Aloo Keema recipe is a Pakistani dish which has been popular across the Indian subcontinent due to the nutritional value and exceptional taste. Aloo keema recipe basically includes potatoes with minced meat (mutton, chicken or beef) and is cooked in a unique way which transforms the ingredients into a unique way of a spicy and delicious meal. Aloo Keema recipe is a traditional recipe of South Asia and is also known as potato and minced curry around the world. Keema aloo recipe is a simple recipe which is adored by children and it tastes amazing no matter what side you serve it with. Whether its steamed rice, paratha, chapathi, naan, bread or bun, aloo keema recipe manages to make everything tasty, unique and just finger licking well!
It can be made with beef, tomatoes, potatoes and green peas. This recipe can be served at lunch, special events, or festive occasions like Eid, to all age groups.
Ingredients
• ½ kg. Minced beef
• 250gms. Potatoes and cut in small pieces
• 2 tomatoes
• 1 onion
• 6 tbs oil
• 6 whole black pepper (Kali Mirch)
• 6 cloves
• 1 black cardamom
• 1/4 tsp. cumin Seeds (Zeera)
• 1 tsp. coriander (Dhaniya) powder
• 1 tsp. salt
• ¼ tsp turmeric (Haldi) powder
• ¾ tsp. chili powder
• 1 tsp. ginger paste
• 1 tsp garlic paste
• ½ tsp garam masala powder
How to make Aloo Keema
Method
• Chop the onion and cook in oil until light brown.
• Add Ginger and Garlic paste
• Add all the spices and finely chopped tomatoes.
• Cook on medium heat till water is almost dried. Add mince meat mix and dry the water again.
• Add 2 glasses of water cover and cook till meat is tenderized and the water dries.
• Add potatoes and cook till the potatoes are soft.
• Sprinkle garam masala powder. Garnish with fresh green Coriander (Dhaniya) leaves, green chilies and Ginger (Adrak) slices and lemon juice.
• Serve with naan for 4 to 5 persons.
