250 gms paneer/cottage cheese
1 large green bell pepper/capsicum
1 medium size onion
1 medium tomato
*for the marinade,
150 gms yogurt or thick curd
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
A pinch carom seeds
1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
1/3 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
1 tsp cumin seeds powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp dry mango powder/amchur powder
1 tsp chaat masala
juice of half lemon
1 tblsp ghee or butter for brushing
Salt to taste
How to make Shahi Paneer Tikka
METHOD:
Cut paneer in square shaped cubes. Now cut veggies in square shapes And keep aside.
For marination, in a large bowl, take the curd and whisk it till it becomes smooth
add ginger garlic paste and all the spice powders. Mix the spice powders with the curd. Now add the veggies and paneer to the marinade and leave for an hour in the refrigerator. it depend if u dont like to add veggies as i prefer only paneer to marinade. Skewer the veggies and paneer alternately on skewers (according to picture).
Grill the Pneer Tikka skewers over hot charcoal, Basting once at the end of the cooking time. Or bake the paneer tikka at 180 degree Celsius. After 6 to 7 minutes remove the skewers, and turn the skewers. brush some Ghee. Keep again in the oven and bake for a further 5 to 7 minutes more. Serve with any chatni and "Sesame Naan"
