Ingredients
6 onions
1 lb. leeks
Oil for frying
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons chilli powder
1 lb. minced beef
Salt to taste
6 hard-boiled eggs, finely chopped
How to make Curried Minced Beef (Kheema)

METHOD:

Slice onions, wash and mince or chop leeks finely.
Put some oil in a pan and fry the onions till slightly brown.
Add the turmeric and when the raw smell has evaporated put in the chilli powder.
Fry to brown and then add the meat, leeks and salt.
Gently cook, covered, for 30 minutes.
If very dry add a little water.
Remove the lid and stir in the eggs.
Serve at once.


Note: Preparation time 15 minutes, Cooking time 50 minutes, To serve 4
