Fish Coconut Curry Recipe in Urdu

Wash fish. Place in a strainer.
Marinate washed fish with 2 tablespoon lemon juice and store aside for one hour.

Deep fry the lemon-marinated fish until it turns light golden.

Grind tomatoes with garlic, coconut, green chilies and green coriander in a blender.

Mix salt and all spice with the blended paste.

Heat one tablespoon oil in a pan, add ground spices and roast until oil appears. Remove from stove and add remaining lemon juice.

Pour 2 tablespoon oil in frying pan and place fried fish in it. Sprinkle roasted spice over the fish. Put curry leaves and place for dam at low flame for 4 to 5 minutes.

Sprinkle lemon juice

Cooking Fried Fish with Coconut


  • Fish: 1 kg
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Garlic: 4 to 6 pcs
  • Tomatoes: 2 pcs
  • All Spices Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Vinegar: 3 teaspoons
  • Dry Crushed Coconut: 3 tablespoons
  • Curry Leaves: 6 to 7
  • Green Chilies: 8 to 10
  • Green Coriander: 1 bunch
  • Lemon Juice: 4 to 5 teaspoons
  • Oil: for frying


  1. Marinate fish with 1 tablespoon gram flour and 1 teaspoon salt and place aside for 10 minutes. Then wash it thoroughly and store in a strainer. Then apply 2 tablespoon lemon juice on same fish and store in refrigerator covered for one hour.

  2. Heat oil at medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes and deep fry lemon marinated fish until it turns light golden in color.

Preparing Masala (Spices):

Grind tomatoes with garlic, coconut, green chilies and green coriander in a blender. Add salt and all spice powder. Pour one tablespoon oil in pan and heat for 2 minutes on medium flame. Add ground all spice powder and roast until oil is visible
separately. Then remove from the stove and add remaining lemon juice. Spices are ready.

In a pan, add 1 to 2 tablespoons oil and place fried fish inside. Sprinkle roasted spice all over the fish. Then put curry leaves and steam-cook for 4 to 5 minutes at low flame. Lastly sprinkle lemon juice.

Delicious Fish with Coconut is ready. Serve hot and enjoy!
