It is basically chicken pieces cooked with chickpeas and spices having little amount of gravy in it. It is more preferable to eat in breakfast. The Lahori Chaney recipe contains many spices and chickpeas are also not easily digestible but it depends on the choice of eaters whenever they like to enjoy it. Lahori Chaney recipe is very simple and it does not take more than an hour to prepare once you have chickpeas already boiled. Spices used in Lahori Chaney recipe includes red chili powder, whole spice powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, salt etc and the gravy is prepared with yogurt and onions .

لاھوری چنے

اجزاء:
چکن----------- ڈیڑھ کلو چودہ ٹکڑے
چھولے--------- ایک پیالی
تیل---------- ایک پیالی
پیاز----------- دو عدد باریک کٹی ہوئی
ٹماٹر-------------- تین عدد
ہلدی--------------- ایک چائے کا چمچ
گرم مصالحہ-------------- ایک چائے کا چمچ پسا ہوا
سفید زیرہ--------------- ایک چائے کا چمچ بھنا اور پسا ہوا
ادرک اور لہسن کا پیسٹ-------------- ایک کھانے کا چمچ
ادرک---------------- ایک کھانے کا چمچ باریک کٹی ہوئی
لال مرچ------------- ایک کھانے کا چمچ پسی ہوئی
میٹھا سوڈا-------------- آدھا چائے کا چمچ
مسور کی دال----------- دو کھانے کے چمچ
نمک-------------- حسبِ ذائقہ
چکن کیوب---------------- ایک عدد

ترکیب:
ایک دیگچی میں ایک پیالی تیل گرم کرکے دو عدد باریک کٹی پیاز گولڈن براؤن کریں اور چکن کے چودہ ٹکڑے ڈال کر پانی خشک کرلیں۔
اب اس میں ادرک اور لہسن کا پیسٹ، ہلدی، پسی لال مرچ، پسا گرم مصالحہ اور حسبِ ذائقہ نمک شامل کرکے ہلکا سا بھون لیں۔
پھر ایک پیالی بھیگے ہوئے چنوں کا پانی نکال کر دوبارہ تین سے چار گلاس پانی اور مسور کی دال ڈال کر ہلکی آنچ پر پکائیں۔
جب اس میں اُبال آجائے تو آدھا چائے کا چمچ میٹھا سوڈا شامل کردیں۔
پھر چھولے گلنے اور دال کے ساتھ یکجان ہونے کے بعد چولہا بند کردیں۔
اس کے بعد چکن کے ٹکڑوں میں ٹماٹر کاٹ کر شامل کردیں اورہلکا سا بھون کر دو پیالی پانی ڈال دیں۔
جب جوش آجائے تو اس میں چھولے ، باریک کٹی ادرک، چکن کیوب اور سفید زیرہ ڈال کر ہلکی آنچ پر دَم پر رکھیں۔
جب تیل اوپر آجائے تو تیار مرغ چھولے گرم گرم نان کے ساتھ سرو کریں۔

Tail 1 piyali
Piyaz 2 adad
Tamater 3 adad
Haldi 1 chaye ka chamach
Garm masla 1 chaye ka chamach
Safaid zeerah 1 chaye ka chamach
Adrak aur lehsan ka paste 1 khanay ka chamach
Adrak 1 khanay ka chamach
Laal mirch 1 khanay ka chamach
Meetha soda ½ chaye ka chamach
Masoor ki daal 2 khanay k chamach
Namak hasb e zaiqa
Chicken cube 1 adad

Banane ki tarkeeb


1 degchi main 1 piyaali tail garam kar k 2 adad bareek kati piyaz golden brown karia aur chicken k 14 daal kar paani khuskh kar lain.
Ab is main adrak aur lehsan ka paste, haldi, pisi laal mirch, pisa garm masala aur hasb e zaiqa namak shamil kar k halka bhoon lain.
Phir ek piyaali bheegay hoye chano ka paani nikal kar dobara 3 sy 4 glass paani aur masoor ki daal dal kar halki anch par pakain.
Jab is main ubaal ajaye to adha chaye ka chamcha meetha soda shamil kar dain.
Phr chholay galny aur daal k sath yakjaan honay k baad cholah band kardain.
Isky baad chicken k tukro main tamatr kaat kar shamil kar dain aur halka sa bhoon kar do piyali pani daal dain.
Jab josh ajaye to is main chholay, bareek kati adrak, chicken cube aur safiad zeerah daal kar halki anch per dam per rakhain.
Jab tail oper ajaye to taiyar murg chholay garm garm naan k sath serve karain.

Lahori channy with naan is the most eaten breakfast of Lahore . I used to eat lahori channay every Sunday in Lahore but now I am in Karachi and miss that breakfast a lot. But now with the help of kfoods I can make this lahori chany very easily

Lahori chanas are the best desi foods , enjoy it with roghani naans , like we did it in Lahore. Now we have shifted to Islamabad and here we can eat it only at home . We all family liked lahori chanay and keep making it repeatedly however sometimes we eat it with homemade roti.

Lahori chana is very delicious and a favorite of mine. I have eaten Lahori Murgh chana several times and even if we have to cook it without the chicken, we keep the recipe same and just do not add chicken. Still it tastes perfect.
