Kalakand recipe is a famous sweet from Pakistani cuisine. It is made with khoya, castor sugar, ground cardamom, ghee and silver paper.
First khoya is cooked in a wok at low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Then khoya is checked with fingers. Then ground cardamom is added to khoya. Further stove is turned off and khoya is cooled. Once it comes to lukewarm state, castor sugar is added and also cardamom powder. Then it is spreaded in a greased tray. Silver paper is applied and solidified. Then it is cut into pieces and served.
