kalakand
Kalakand recipe requires khoya, caster sugar and ground cardamom. It is one of the most famous Pakistani sweets. Kalakand is also made with milk powder and condensed milk however we will use just khoya and ghee to make sweet kalakand burfi.
How to Make Kalakand Recipe:
Ingredients:
- Khoya: 1/2 kg
- Castor Sugar: 125 grams
- Cardamom Powder: 1 pinch
- Ghee: as much required
- Silver Paper: for garnishing
Cooking Instructions:
- Add 1/2 kg khoya to a wok and roast at low heat for around 7 minutes.
- Pick a little amount of khoya and rub with fingers, if it forms a little ball, it is ready.
- Add and mix cardamom powder.
- Switch stove off, spread khoya in the wok and let it cool.
- As it comes into warm state, add 125 gram castor sugar and 1 pinch ground cardamom.
- Mix well and spread in a greased tray.
- Garnish with silver paper and leave for 7 to 8 hours until it is solidified.
- Cut square pieces.
- Delicious Kalakand recipe is ready. Serve and enjoy.
