• beef - 2 kg( (Ask for Nihari meat at the butcher shop.)
• corn flour ………………………..4 tablespoons dissolved in 1 cup of water
• Turmeric powder ………………1 teaspoon
• Cinnamon stick ………………3
• Bay leaves …………………4
• Cardamom ……………….. 5
• Cloves ………………… 8-10
• Garam masala …………. 3 tablespoons
• Ginger garlic paste…………….. 3 tablespoons
• Chilli powder……………….4 tsp
• Coriander powder …………… 2 tsp
• Yogurt ………….. 2/4 cup
• cooking oil ……………..1 cup
• Nutmeg ………… Few pinches
• Jaifal……………………2/4 tsp
• Salt…………………..To taste
•Water……………….10 cups
Spice masala:
• Make it as a powder
• Fennel seeds - 3 tablespoons
• 2 teaspoon whole black peppercorn
• 2 teaspoon cumin seed
• Ingredients For Garnishing:
• 3 Onion fried to brown
• 5 Green chillies chopped
• 5 Ginger strips sliced
• 5-8 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped
How to make Spicy Beef Nihari
METHOD:
1. Clean the beef and cut into medium pieces as you like. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick and ginger garlic paste.
2. Add the mutton and fry for 5 minutes.
3. Now add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, yogurt, garam masala and fry until the oil separates.
4. Add the nutmeg, cardamom, spice masala and 10 cups of water and cook on low heat for 5 to 6 hours .Add the flour and cook for about 10 minutes.
5. Garnish it with coriander leaves, ginger, onions and green chilies.
6. Serve spicy nihari with chappati, naan and enjoy.
7. you can also serve with rice.
