چاول آدھے گھنٹے پہلے پانی میں بھگو دیجئے۔ ایک پتیلی میں مرغ کے پارچے، پانی، نمک، لہسن کے آدھے جوئے، سونف ، دھنیا، آدھے گرم مصالحے اور ادرک کے چند چھوٹے ٹکڑوں سمیت ڈال کر ہلکی آنچ پر یخنی تیار کیجئے۔ پھر مرغ کے ٹکڑے، باقی پیاز، گرم مصالحے ، باقی پسے ہوئے لہسن سمیت ڈال کر انہیں بھونئے اور یخنی ان میں شامل کرتے جائیں۔ پھر چاول نچوڑ کر اس یخنی میں ڈال دیجئے۔ اور انہیں گلا لیجئے۔ دم پر رکھنے سے پہلے پسا ہوا سیاہ زیرہ پلاؤ پر چھڑکئے۔
