Ingredients

• Dates 250 grams
• Butter ½ cup
• Sugar 1 cup
• Refined flour 1 ½ cups
• Eggs 2
• Baking powder 1 ½ cups
• Walnuts 1 ½ cups
• Salt ¼ tsp

How to make Date Cake

Method

• Boil 1 cup water in a saucepan
• Add de-seeded dates in water and allow to cool
• Mix salt and baking powder in refined flour. Grease baking dish.
• Mix sugar in butter and beat well with electric beater till blended.
• Add eggs one at a time and add 1tbsp refined flour and mix
• Add dates with water, refined flour and walnuts and beat well
• Put mixture in a baking dish and bake in pre-heated oven at 180 C for 30 minute
