6 green corncobs
3 tblsps oil
¼ tsp mustard seeds
a pinch of asafetida
1 cup milk
salt to taste
2 tsps sugar
½ tsp turmeric
6 green chillies (chopped)
a small piece of ginger (Chopped)
1 tblsp coriander leaves (chopped) juice of one lemon
METHOD:
Wash and grate the corn off the cobs. Heat oil in a kadat, and throw in the mustard seeds. When they begin crackle, add corn, stir, then put in milk, salt, sugar, turmeric. chillies and ginger. Stir well till it becomes a thick paste, making sure it does not stick to the bottom 01 the pan. Remove.
Garnish with coriander leaves. If desired, sprinkle fryer with fresh coconut. Finally, pour over the lemon juice. Serve hot.
