500 grams mutton (cut into serving portions)
2 piece dry coconut
2 large onions
4 green chillies
1 thsp poppy-seeds
4 flakes garlic
1 piece ginger
1/2 cup ghee
a few drops of milk
1 cup curd
1 tblsp each of coriander powder and garam masals
1 tsp each of ground cumin seeds and shahjeera
salt and chilli powder to taste
1 handful coriander leaves (chopped)
How to make Mutton Korma Curry
METHOD:
Grind the coconut, onion, green chillies, poppy-seeds, garlic and ginger to a paste.
Heat the ghee and fry the paste, adding a little milk now and then till the ghee floats to the top.
Add the curd and mutton, and brown well.
Add the rest of the ingredients (with the exception of coriander leaves) and cover with water.
Cool till the mutton is tender and the gravy becomes rich brown in colour.
Serve garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
