2 cups wholemeal flour
1 cup gur ( jaggery)
1 dessertspoon lukewarm water
2 dessertspoon aniseed ( saunf)
1 tsp yeast
½ tsp Sugar
1 1/2 cups water
How to make Mazaydar Gulgulay
METHOD:
Prepare a syrup by boiling jaggery ( gur ) in 1 1/2 cups of water until totally dissolved and set aside to cool .
Add the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm water and leave for 10 minutes .
Knead the gur , aniseed and yeast mixture into the flour and set aside for half an hour , covered .
Roll the dough into small balls and deep fry .
Serve immediately !
