½ kg guar
2 tblsps oil
1/2 tsp thymol seeds (ajwain)
a pinch of asafetida
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder .
1 tsp sugar
METHOD:
Wash whole guar and steam. In a kadai, heat the oil and ajwain. Add asafoetida and 3 tablespoons water, salt, turmeric, chilli powder and sugar. Allow to boil. When the ingredients are well-blend-ed, add steamed guar. Stir gently for 4 minutes till well-mixed. Remove from fire and serve.
