1cup oats (daliya)
6 tblsps ghee
1.5 raisins
¾ cup sugar
6 cardamoms (powdered)
chironji, almonds and khus-lchus (optional)
How to make Ghau-na Phada-ni Lapsi (Sweet Dailya)
METHOD:
Roast daliya in a kadai with the ghee, till light brown. Add raisins. In another vessel heat 3 cups water and add to the browned daliya.
Reduce heat, and keep stirring. The water will be absorbed within 10 to 15 minutes, and the daliya will soften. Add sugar and stir. Cover and keep on low heat.When the ghee starts to separate, remove from fire. Garnish with cardamom powder, chironji. almonds and khus-khus. Serve hot or cold.
