• 24 jumbo prawns with tails
• 1 teaspoon olive oil
• 1/2 cup dahi or yoghurt
• 6 skewers thin ones
• 1 teaspoon crushed, flaked coconut
• ginger garlic paste one tablespoon
• salt one teaspoon or to taste
• red chillie powder one teaspoon
• haldi or turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
• cumin powder one teaspoon
• zeera one teaspoon
• garam masala zafrani one tablespoon
• lemon juice 1/2 cup
How to make Zafrani Tandoori prawns
METHOD:
1. In a bowl mix the cleaned and washed prawns, dahi, all spices, lemon juice,mix well and coat the prawns with the mixture. Keep the coconut aside.
2. Marinade for half an hour.
3. Then take the skewers and put the prawns on those, 4 on each.
4. Heat the tandor or barbecue or you may grill in oven too.
5. Cook till prawns have a rich color and are cooked.
Serve piping hot after sprinkling the coconut grated on top. with mint chutney and naan.
