Ingredients
Tomatoes 1 kg bOiled with 1 cup Water and ½ tsp Salt
Chili powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Oil ½ cup
White cumin whole 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
Crushed Garlic 1 tbsp
Green chilies 6
Curry leaves 20


Ingredients for Kofta:
Mince 250 gm
Desiccated Coconut 1 tsp
Green chili 4
Whole red chili 4
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Mint 10 leaves
Onion 1 large
Roasted gram 1 tbsp heaped
Poppy seeds 1 tsp
How to make Tomato Kat With Koftay

METHOD:

Method for Kofta:

Mix all ingredients together in a chopper and chop till smooth. Make into koftas and keep aside.


Method for Tomato Kat:

Boil tomatoes with 1 cup water, salt, turmeric, coriander, chili powder till tender.
Blend and sieve the mixture and put in a pan.
Heat oil in another pan.
Fry each separately whole white cumin, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, crushed black pepper and crushed garlic.
Add to tomato pulp and cook for 5 minutes.
Then add koftas and cook for 10 minutes.
Serve with rice.
