Oil as desired
1 can of diced Tomatoes
1 inch piece of ginger-crushed(adrak)
4-5 cloves of garlic-crushed(lehsan)
1-2 branches of Curry leaves(curry patta)
3/4 tea spoons(tsp) each of cumin seeds and mustard(Rai) seeds
Salt 1tea spoon or according to taste
1 tsp (heaped) Coriander powder(dhania)
1 tsp Red chili powder(lal mairch)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder(haldi)
8-10 green chilies (slice them) or whole fresh round red chilies
1 Onion-thinly sliced
How to make Tomato Chatni
METHOD:
Put oil in pan and add onion
Add cumin and mustard seeds
Add curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic
Cook for a while and then serve
It stays good in fridge for a long time
IMPORTANT NOTES:
No need to brown the onion just when it softens add the dry spices, tomatoes and green chilies.

We all prepared tomato chatni recipe last weekend and enjoyed it a lot. It was so delicious that i decided to repeat it again. this time, i would make it alone however i will keep making chutney recipes regularly with my friends.
My wife made it with alo tehari, she knows, i like it because its my favourite. but i have seen extra ingredients , may be it is different. i will show my wife to check ....
nice chatni recipe. I believed that this tomato chatni is actually tomato ketchup but I got it later that it is different thing. Your given recipe here is very nice. I have not seen Chef bajias but she must a very expert chef. I can say this after seeing her recipe.
