1 lb. cabbage 4 onions
1 green chilli
½ -inch fresh root ginger
Oil for frying
small stick cinnamom
1 teaspoon chilli powder
2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 lb. uncooked lamb, minced
salt to taste
1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
juice of ½ lemon
How to make Minced lamb with Cabbage (Kheema Gobi)
Shred the cabbage finely, wash and set aside.
Finely mince the onions, green chilli and ginger together then fry with cloves, cardamom and cinnamon until lightly brown.
Add the chilli powder, coriander and turmeric and cook for five minutes.
Add the meat and salt.
Cover with a lid and simmer until the meat in nearly cooked.
Add the cabbage and coconut.
Continue to cook until the cabbage is ready.
Squeeze lemon juice into the pan and mix well.
Serve with roti and chutney.
