Soak white lentils for 15 minutes

Boil and transfer in a pot

Heat oil in pan for 3 minutes

Add cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms and black peppercorns in oil

Add onions and fry for 3 minutes

Now add tomatoes

Add ginger garlic, salt, red pepper, turmeric, coriander powder and cumin seeds

Roast until tomatoes are tender

Add boiled white lentils

Mix thoroughly.

Add 1/2 glass water

Add chopped green chilies, ginger and mint as water simmers

Mix thoroughly and place for dam for 3 minutes

Serve in a dish

  • Red Pepper Powder: 1 tsp / as per taste
  • Coriander Powder: 1 tsp

  • Cloves: 4 pcs
  • Cinnamon: 1 large stick
  • Cardamom: 1
  • Onions: 2 medium
  • Tomatoes: 2 to 3
  • Oil: 1 cup
  • Mint: 1 small bunch
  • Green Chilies: 6 to 7 chopped
  • Ginger: 2 inch long piece (thin sliced)
  • Black Peppercorns: 10 to 12
  • Ginger Garlic Powder: 1 tsp
  • Water: 1/2 glass

Preparing Time: 25 to 30 minutes
Cooking Duration: 25 to 30 minutes
Serving: 3 to 4

Method

  1. Soak white lentils for 15 minutes and then boil for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil for 3 minutes in a pan, then add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and black peppercorns. Once crackles, add chopped onions and fry for 3 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes to onions and also ginger garlic powder, salt, red pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and white cumin seeds.
  4. When roasted well and tomatoes are tender, add boiled white lentils and mix thoroughly.
  5. Add 1/2 glass water.
  6. Add chopped green chilies, chopped ginger garlic and mint leaves. Mix well and place for dam for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Scrumptious Masala Mash Daal is ready.
    Serve in a dish and garnish with mint, green chilies, and ginger. Enjoy hot with naan and salad.
