French Toast

milk/half and half 1 cup
eggs 3
honey 2 tbsp, (warmed in microwave for 20 seconds)
salt 1/4 tsp
bread slices - 8 (day-old preferred)
butter 4 tbsp
METHOD:
In medium size mixing bowl, whisk together the milk/half and half, eggs, honey, and salt... (you may do this the night before)
Preheat oven to 375 F/190 C....
Dip bread into mixture, allow to soak for 30 seconds on each side...
And then remove to a cooling rack that is sitting in a sheet pan... and allow to sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
Over medium-low heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter in non-stick saute pan...
Place slices of bread at a time into the pan and cook until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side.,..
Remove from pan and place on rack in oven for 5 minutes.
Repeat with all 8 slices... serve immediately.. I served with maple syrup, whipped cream and fruits.

this is my favorite breakfast item . I eat this everyday except sunday because on sunday I eat halwa puri in breakfast. I like french toasts very much and search new recipes for making it and then tell my mother to make it in new style.
nice.....I can see banana slices in the picture or I guess? Am I right? If that is banana, I want to notify you that it is not mentioned in the ingredients. Pls check the recipe and make us sure with the correct ingredients..
I like eating french these toasts in breakfast but we did not know they are known as french toasts. We call them tosh or tos in Urdu and our recipe is simpler than this. We did not use honey but its good to know honey can be used with it.
