Ingredients
Carp/King fish 1kg
Yogurt (whipped) 1 cup
Coconut water 2 cups
White vinegar 2 tbsp
Lemons 3
Cloves 4
Green chillies (finely cut) 4
Fenugreek Seeds few
Curry leaves few
Hot Spices powder 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Ginger / Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red Chilii Powder 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder 2 tbsp
Fresh Coriander (finely cut) 1 bunch
Salt to taste
Mustard Oil 1 cup + for frying
How to make Fish with Mustard Oil
Method
1. Apply vinegar on unwashed fish and wash after 10 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pot; add fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and cloves.
3. When they give off aroma, add yogurt, turmeric, red chillies , salt coriander, hot spices and ginger /garlic; fry.
4. Keep tilting pot while cooking till oil separates.
5. Add coconut water, green chillies , fresh coriander and lemon juice; leave on dum.
