Ingredients

Butter: 2 Tsp
Caster Sugar: 1 Tsp
Plain Flour: 3/4 cup
Pinch of Baking powder
Custard Powder: 1 tbsp
Milk: 1 tbsp
Plain flour for rolling and dusting
3/4 cup chopped Mixed Fruits (Apple, Grapes, and Orange)
Sprinkles
Vanilla Custard: 1 packet

How to make Custard Tart with Mixed Fruit

METHOD:

Sieve together the flour and baking powder.

Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl with a wooden spoon till light and fluffy.

Add the flour, Vanilla Custard Powder, milk and mix gently to form a dough using a tablespoon of water if required.

Knead the dough on a light dusted surface until smooth.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a 100 mm 4 inch round using a little plain flour.

Press each round into a greased tart mold (approx. 2 1/2 inch in diameter. Prick with a fork at even distance.

Place them on a baking tray and bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the tarts are in golden color.

Remove, unmould and cool. Store in an airtight container.

Make the Vanilla Custard as per instructions on the box. Cool and divide the custard into 8 equal portions. Keep aside.

Fill each tart with a portion of the custard and refrigerate until the custard is set. Just before serving, top each tart with mixed fruits and jelly
