½ oz. fresh mint
½ oz. fresh root Ginger
1 dessertspoon ground white cummin seeds
½ Teaspoon Chilli powder
½ Teaspoon Garam masala
2 Teasp ikons Salt
2 TeaspAns Sugar
2 tablespoons Lemon juIce
1 ½ pints (U.S. 3f cups) Water
* 2 oz. Tamarind, soaked in
¾ pint (U.S. 2 cups) Water overnight.
FOR THE GARNISH
SlIces of Lemon and Mint leaves

How to make Cummin Seed Drink (Jeera Pani)

METHOD:

*Squeeze the tamarind and discard the husk. Strain the liquid before use.
Chop mint and ginger. Mix with all the other in¬gredients. Add to the tamarind water and mix well. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve in small glasses without stirring.
