Chicken ½ kg
Onion 250 gm
Ghee 250 gm
Green cardamom 6
Green chilies 6
Almond 6
Yogurt ½ kg
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
All spice powder 1 tsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
Desiccated coconut 1 tbsp
Nutmeg & mace powder ½ tsp
Chili powder 2 tsp
Raw papaya paste 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves as required
How to make Chicken Reshmi


Heat 250 ghee in a pan, add 250 gm chopped onion and fry till golden brown. Remove brown onion and keep aside.

Grind together 3 cardamoms, 6 almond and 1 tsp cumin seeds.

Marinate ½ kg chicken with 2 tbsp raw papaya paste for 30 minutes. Add marinated chicken to the remaining ghee and fry well till golden brown.

Mix together ½ kg yogurt, 1 tsp all spice powder, 2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp desiccated coconut, ½ tsp nutmeg and mace powder.

Now add yogurt mixture with crushed brown onion to the chicken mixture.

Cook on low flame till chicken is tender. Lastly add green chilies and coriander leaves. Turn the flame off and serve hot.
