How to Make Doodh Ka Sharbat

Boil milk and cool at room temperature.

Cook water with sugar. Cool when sugar dissolved.

Grind fennel and green cardamoms and wrap in muslin cloth. Make a pouch.

Add fennel pouch and sugar water to boiled milk and mix well. Place aside for 30 minutes.

Squeeze pouch to pour its syrup to the milk. This will infuse the aroma into sharbat.

Serve chilled with chia seeds, chopped pistachios and almonds.
(Soak chia seeds in half cup water before use)

(White Milk Sharbat Recipe)


Ingredients:

  • Milk: 4 cups
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Sugar: as much you like
  • Fennel Seeds: 1 tablespoon
  • Green Cardamom: 5 to 6 (grind pods)
  • Almonds: as much you like
  • Pistachios: as much you like
  • Chia Seeds: 1 teaspoon

Method

  1. Boil milk and cool to normal temperature.
  2. Cook sugar in water, dissolve and cool it as well.
  3. Grind fennel seeds and green cardamom pods finely and pack in a muslin cloth pouch.
  4. Soak chia seeds in half cup water.
  5. Mix fennel seeds pouch and sugar water in boiled milk well and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  6. Then squeeze fennel pouch to pour its syrup into sharbat; this will add pleasant aroma to the milk sharbat.
  7. Put the pouch into milk pot again.
  8. Now add chia seeds and chopped almonds and pistachios. Chill well in refrigerator.
  9. Serve cold and enjoy.
