Lab e Shireen is a delicious sweet dessert, whose recipe was introduced lately in South Asia (Pakistan and India). Before the time of Labe Shireen, we only knew kheer, halwa or sheer khurma as after-meal desserts in Pakistan. However, this juicy dessert has massively replaced the ways sweets were served and enjoyed.

Labe Shireen is made with milk, corn flour, fruit cocktail, colorful noodles and jellies. Other add-ons like cashews, pistachios, walnuts and almonds are added for flavor and aroma. How to Prepare Lab e Shireen
 

Ingredients:

  • Milk: 1.5 kg
  • Corn Flour: 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Colorful Vermicelli: 1/2 cup
  • Sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Fruit Cocktail: 1 tin (small)
  • Red Jelly: 1 packet
  • Yellow Jelly: 1 packet
  • Almonds: as required
  • Pistachios: as required
  • Cashew Nuts: as required
  • Walnuts: as required
  • Fresh Cream: 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Place milk for boiling on stove. Once boiled, add sugar and colorful vermicelli.
     
  2. When vermicelli is softened, dissolve corn flour in half cup water and add to the milk.
     
  3. Keep moving the spoon meanwhile.
     
  4. As custard becomes thick, remove from stove and cool on the room temperature.
     
  5. Boil 1.5 cup water separately.
     
  6. When boiled, add jelly and mix.
     
  7. Freeze jelly mixed water in a pot. Free all jelly and cut into pieces.
     
  8. Transfer custard to a serving bowl, add fresh cream and mix.
     
  9. Add fruit cocktail, almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts, walnuts and colorful jellies and to custard and mix well.
     
  10. Garnish custard with jelly, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and cashew nuts and store in refrigerator.
     
  11. Serve chilled.
