Ingredients

Chicken pieces (boneless): 200 grams
Carrots (chopped): ½ cup
Capsicum (chopped): ½ cup
Mushrooms (chopped):1 cup
Egg: 1
Green chillies (finely cut):2
Chicken stock: 6 cups
Tomato ketchup:½ cup
Sugar :1 tsp
Black pepper (crushed):½ tsp
Vinegar, soya sauce: 2, 2 tbsp each
Cornflour (made into paste with water): 2 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Tomato ketchup, fresh coriander (chopped): for garnishing

How to make Sweet and Sour Mushroom Soup

METHOD:

• Boil chicken pieces in a pot and shred.
• Mix chicken, stock, mushrooms, capsicum and carrots in another pot and bring to boil.
• Add tomato ketchup, cornflour, egg, black pepper, sugar, vinegar, soya sauce, Chinese salt, green chillies and salt, remove from flame and add the remaining ingredients.
• Garnish soup with tomato ketchup and fresh coriander and serve.
