3 green chillis
Large bunch of coriander leaves
2 oz. creamed coconut
2 teaspoons ground cummin seeds
1 teaspoon sugar Salt to taste
Juice of 2 lemons
4 cod steaks
How to make Spiced Fish Bake (Patra Ni Machi)

METHOD:

Finely mince the garlic, chillis and coriander leaves, then mix with the coconut, cummin, sugar, salt and lemon juice to make a paste. Clean and wash the fish, rub with salt and set aside for 10 minutes. Now coat the fish on both sides with the paste, put in a baking dish, cover with foil and bake in a moderat¬ely hot oven (375° F. — Gas Mark 5) for 20-25 minutes. Serve with sliced tomatoes.
