Spiced Fish Patties (Machi Kababs)
Spiced fish patties are too good in taste and also healthy. Try this easy homemade recipe at home and its scrumptious taste with chutney at iftar time.
Ingredients
1 ¼ lb. haddock or cod, cooked
1 large onion 2 green chillis
Few coriander leaves
2 potatoes, cooked
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs
Salt to taste Breadcrumbs Fat for frying
How to make Spiced Fish Patties (Machi Kababs)
Method
Remove bones from the fish and mash finely. Mince the onion, chillis and coriander leaves. Mash the potatoes. Mix the fish, onion, chillis, coriander leaves, potatoes, ginger, pepper, 1 egg and salt. Divide the mixture into 8 portions, roll into balls and flatten into rounds i-inch thick. Dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Fry in shallow fat till nicely brown on both sides.
