Prawns (medium-sized)............½ kg
Onions (finely cut lengthwise)............2
Tomatoes (finely cut lengthwise)............2
Ginger (finely cut)............1-inch piece
Capsicum (finely cut lengthwise)............1
Green chillies (finely cut lengthwise)............3
Worcestershire sauce............1 tbsp
Red chilli powder............½ tsp
Soya sauce............1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup............½ cup
Tamarind pulp............1 pinch
Black pepper (crushed)............½ tsp
Mustard powder............½ tsp
White vinegar............1 tbsp
Oil............¼ cup
Hot spices powder............for sprinkling
How to make Prawn Jalfrezi
METHOD:
• Heat oil in a wok; fry prawns for 2 minutes and remove. In the same wok cook onions till light brown.
• Add all remaining ingredients except prawn, green chillies, capsicum and tomatoes; cook for 10 minutes.
• Add prawns, green chillies, capsicum and tomatoes; cook for 5 more minutes.
• Sprinkle hot spices on top; dish out and serve hot.
