1. Add cardamoms into milk and boil.

Making Kheer Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Milk: 1 kg

  2. Sugar: 1/2 cup (as per taste)

  3. Rice: 50 grams (broken rice)

  4. Almonds: 25 grams

  5. Green cardamom: 2 to 3

  6. Kewra water: 2 to 3 drops

For Garnishing:

  1. Almonds: as required

  2. Pistachios: as required

  3. Crushed coconuts: as required

Method

First, soak rice for 10 to 15 minutes. Soak green cardamoms in milk and place on stove for boiling. When it is boiled, add rice, mix well and let it cook on low flame. Chop almonds thin and add into kheer. When kheer rice are tender, soften them more using a churner so that rice are dissolved in the milk well. When kheer gets thick, add sugar and mix well.

When sugar is dissolved and milk turns browner, and kheer becomes thicker, turn the stove off and pour a few drops of kewra and take out in a bowl. Garnish with almonds, pistachio and crushed coconuts. Tasty rice kheer is ready.
