How to Make Chicken Satay


Ingredients:

Marinade Ingredients:

  • Boneless Chicken: 1/2 kg (thin pieces)
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • White Pepper: 1 tsp
  • Ajinomoto (Chinese Salt): 1 tsp
  • Mustard Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Oil: 1 tbsp

Batter Ingredients:

  • Egg: 1 piece
  • Corn Flour: 3 tbsp
  • Maida Flour: 3 tbsp
  • Baking Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar: 1 tbsp
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • White Pepper: 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Milk: 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Peanut Butter: 1 tbsp
     
  • Breadcrumbs: as required
  • Shashlik Sticks: as required

 

Method

Dry Marination:
Mix salt, white pepper, Chinese salt, mustard powder and oil with chicken and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes so it marinates well.

Batter:

  1. Whisk an egg in a bowl well.
  2. Add corn flour, baking powder, maida flour, vinegar, salt, white pepper, Worcestershire sauce, peanut butter and milk.
  3. Mix well to make thick batter with smooth consistency.
  4. Put chicken pieces into batter and keep for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Now thread chicken into sticks and roll in breadcrumbs thoroughly.
  6. Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  7. Fry all chicken sticks.
  8. Tasteful Chicken Satay Recipe is ready.

Serve with tomato ketchup and enjoy.
