Ingredients
K&N’s Shami Kabab - 9 kababs
K&N’s Bologna Slices - 6-8 slices
Pizza sauce - 2 tbsp
Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup; shredded
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
Parmesan cheese - 2 tbsp; grated
Butter & coriander mixture - as required
For Dough
All-purpose flour - 4 cups; more for rolling
Sugar - 1 tsp
Yeast - 2 tsp
Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Warm water - as required
Marinara Sauce:
Ingredients
Olive oil - 3 tbsp
Garlic - 1 tbsp; chopped
Onion - 1 cup; finely chopped
Tomato puree - 2 cups
Salt - to taste
Red chilli flakes - 1 tsp
Black pepper powder - 1½ tsp
Oregano - ½ tsp; dried
Tomato paste - 1 tbsp
Carrot - ⅓ cup; shredded
Basil leaves - 2 tbsp; chopped
Water - as required
How to make Bologna Slices Stromboli
Method
Prepare K&N’s Shami Kabab and K&N’s Bologna Slices as per instructions on pack.
Preheat oven at 180°C.
Roll out dough into a circular shape and spread pizza sauce.
Fold K&N’s Bologna Slices, place on pizza sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese, black pepper powder on top and fold.
Lay K&N’s Shami Kabab and sprinkle parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese on top and fold.
Carefully roll up the long edge of your Stromboli, starting with the one edge to another. Roll it tightly so that it stays together.
Transfer it to a baking tray, brush butter & coriander mixture on top; sprinkle parmesan cheese on it.
Use a knife to make shallow diagonal cuts on top of Stromboli. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until top is brown.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and dip in warm marinara sauce to serve.
For Dough:
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, sugar and yeast then combine well.
Add oil, water and mix properly. Knead until the dough forms into a ball.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place to let it double in size for about 1 hour.
Knead dough to make a smooth and firm ball. Divide it into 4 equal pieces.
Marinara Sauce Method:
In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion. Cook until soft for about 5 minutes.
Add tomato puree, salt, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, oregano, tomato paste, carrot, basil leaves and mix well.
Simmer uncovered on low heat for 20 minutes or until sauce reaches desired consistency. Add water if required.
