As first part of the recipe, you need to make meatballs:

For making a delicious kofta curry, first you need to chop the meat to make mince. Then mix the minced meat with all recipe ingredients and then make small meatballs with your hands. These balls are then fried. Once balls are fried and turned to golden brown color, place them aside.

In the second part, you need to make curry:

Fry onions, garlic and ginger together until they turn golden brown in color. Then add remaining ingredients of the curry with water. Add as much water as needed to form perfect gravy. Let it boil on the stove and then add fried meatballs and simmer for 45 minutes.

Now you can do the garnishing work!
Put chopped coriander leaves, sprinkle lemon juice or chopped green chilies and now it gets the shape.

This was very very delicious and very easy to make too. I didn`t have fenugreek leaves, so used seeds instead. Great recipe to make meatballs with desi flavour.

I made the kofta using ground beef. I did reduce the oil to ¼ cup but next time I'll even half my oil quantity to 1/8 cup. It's more than enough for our family. I served it with plain steamed rice and I think it's better because it brings out the flavours of the kofta curry. Perfect! Thank you loads for posting.
