  • Gram Flour Mixture 1 cup gram flour or as required
  • Potato Mixture 2 potatoes (boiled)
  • Oil for frying

  • Gram Flour: 1 cup
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Crushed Red Chili: 1 teaspoon or as required
  • Amchoor Powder (Dry Mango Powder): 1 teaspoon
  • Baking Soda (Sodium Bi Carbonate): 2 pinches
  • Water: 1/2 cup or as required

Ingredients for Potato Mixture:

  • Boiled Potatoes: 2 pcs
  • Crushed Coriander: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground Roaste White Cumin: 1 teaspoon
  • Crushed Red Chili: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion: 1 medium
  • Green Chili: 3 to 4 (thin chopped)
  • Salt: as per taste

 

Method for Aloo Vada Recipe

Making Potato Mixture:

Mix gram flour with all other ingredients in a bowl, add appropriate amount of water and make a thick paste.


How to Make Bonda?

Heat oil in a saucepan. Dip potato balls in gram flour mixture thoroughly and then deep fry. When they are golden brown in color, transfer in a bowl.

Tasteful aloo vadas are ready. Serve with tomato ketchup and green chatni.

I really love Aloo Vada. I followed the same recipe and the results were just so perfect. It's a very famous roadside food in India. It's not that time consuming as well if u have boiled potatoes ready. I think a pinch of garam masala powder will enhance the flavor too.
