اجزاء:
گندم----------500 گرام دلیے سے باریک کوٹا ہوا
چینی-------- دو کلو
بادام ------------- 125 گرام
اخروٹ کی گری --------------- 125 گرام
پانی ----------------- دو کلو
جائفل پسی ہوئی -------------- ایک عدد
چھوٹی الائیچی پسی ہوئی ----------------- دس عدد
ٹاٹری --------------- 4 گرام
جاوتری پسی ہوئی ------------ چوتھائی چائے کا چمچ
زردے کا رنگ ------------ چوتھائی چائے کا چمچ
گھی -------------- 500 گرام

ترکیب:
کوٹے ہوئے گندم کو دو کلو پانی میں ایک گھنٹے کے لئے بھگو دیں۔پھر اس میں چینی، ٹاٹری، جائفل،جاوتری ،چھوٹی الائیچی اور زردے کا رنگ شامل کرکے مزید پانی ڈال کر چولہے پر چڑھا دیں اور مسلسل چمچہ چلاتے رہیں۔جب گندم گل کر لئی کی طرح گاڑھا ہوجائے تو تھوڑا تھوڑا کرکے گھی شامل کرتے جائیں،جب آمیزہ گھی چھوڑنے لگے اور پتیلی کے کناروں سے الگ ہوجائے تو اُسے کسی بڑے سائز کی ٹرے میں سطح چکنی کرکے اُلٹ دیں اور چپٹے چمچے کی مدد سے سطح برابر کرکے اخروٹ کی گری اور ثابت بادام اوپر لگا دیں ۔تھوڑا سا ٹھنڈا ہونے پر ٹکرے کاٹ لیں۔لذت سے بھرپور سوہن حلوہ تیار ہے۔

Gandum 500 garam daliye sy bareek koota hoa
Cheeni 2 kg
Badam 125 gram
Akhrot ki gari 125 gram
Pani 2 kg
Jaifal pisi hoi 1 adad
Chhoti ilaaichi pisi hoi 1 adad
Taatri 4 gram
Jawitiri pisi hoi chothai chaye ka chamch
Zarday ka rang chothai chaye ka chamach
Ghee 500 gram

Kutay hoye gandum ko 2 kg paani main 1 ghanty k liye bhigo dain. Phir is main cheeni, jaifal, jawitri, chhoti ilaaichi aur zarday ka rang shamil kar k mazeed paani daal kar chholay per charha dain aur musalsal chamchal chalaty rahain. Jab gadnum gal kar lai ki tarha hojaye to thora thora kar k ghee shaamil karty jaain, jab ameeza ghee chhornay lagay aur pateeli k kinaaro sy alag hoajaye to isy kisi baray size ki tray main satha chikni kar k ulat dain aur chaptya chamchay ki madad sy satha barabar kar k akhrot ki giri aur sabit badam oper laga dain. Thora sa thanda honay per tukray kaat lain. Lazzat sy bharpoor Sohan Halwa taiyar hai.

It is usually made in large circles but my Sohan halwa did not turn that much hard as it is in the bakery. I will try this recipe now.
