How to make Maash ki daal


1.Wash and soak the yellow lentils in warm water.

2.Transfer the lentils into a saucepan and add 2 cups water,10 green chilies,1tsp turmeric, finely chopped ginger, crushed red chilies, and 6 garlic cloves

3.Cover and cook until the lentils are tender.

4.Increase the flame of the stove and cook until the water dries off.

5.Sprinkle ½ bunch of chopped coriander leaves and 2tbsp mint leaves, Turn the flame off

6.In a separate pan heat 50g butter, and 2tbsp oil. Add 1tsp cumin and ,6 curry leaves

7.Fry until the ingredients start to sizzle. Pour the tadka on top of the lentils and serve.
