Ingredients
Rice (special basmati) : 500grams( half kilo )(soak in hot water till water turns cold) Desi Ghee : 4 tbs (heaped in partially solid form) cardamon : green one (only seeds crushed) Gurr : 475grams (good quality which is golden in colour) Almonds : blanched ,peeled and thinly sliced. Water : 125ml (= half glass)for melting gurr Water : 12 glasses for boiling rice
How to make Gur Walay Chawal

METHOD:

1: First of all melt gurr in water and keep aside. 2 :In a pot of boiling water pour rice and boil till they are little bit hard, strain and keep aside. 3: Now take a clean dry big pot add ghee , let it melt, add crushed green cardamom. 4. When you will feel smell of cardamom . pour melted gurr as soon as it boils, add boiled rice. 5. When melted gurr evaporates ,sprinkle almonds and cover it with its lid. 6. After 15 minutes Gurr walay rice is ready. 7. Serve hot with pickles or yogurt. (optional)
