Daal Arhar

Ingredients
1/2 cup Pigeon peas
1 Raw mango chopped
4 Whole red chilies
4 Garlic cloves
to taste Salt
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 tbsp Butter
for Baghaar
2 cloves Garlic
1 small packet Butter.
2 tbsp Oil
How to make Daal Arhar
Method
Wash 1/2 cup pigeon peas with lukewarm water and boil in hot water.Grind together 4 whole red chilies, 4 cloves of garlic with skin.
Mash the boiled lentil well. Add in prepared chutney with 1 chopped raw mango, 1 tbsp butter and salt to taste.
Cook well.Now in a frying pan heat 1 packet butter and 2 tbsp oil.
Add in 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Fry well till golden brown. Now pour this mixture on top of lentil mixture.

Dal or Arhar Dal is also known as Kandi Pappu in Telugu in India where it is used to make Pappu Charu food.
