Aloo Methi Recipe in English


Ingredients:

  • Fenugreek: 1 kg
  • Potatoes: 1/2 kg
  • Tomato: 1 pcs
  • Oil: 1 cup
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Crushed Red Chili: 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • White Cumin: 1 teaspoon
  • Green Chili: 6 to 7pcs
  • Garlic Cloves: 12 to 15 pcs

NOTE: Use chilies as much as you like.

Method

  1. Pour oil in pan and heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and fry until it becomes brown.
  3. Add whole red chili, cumin and green chilies. When all these are fried, add tomatoes and cook for a minute and then add potatoes.
  4. If potatoes are semi-tender, add fenugreek and mix well.
  5. Cook until potatoes and fenugreek both are fully cooked.
  6. Decrease flame when cooked.
  7. Once oil appears, turn stove off.
  8. Delicious Aloo Methi is ready.
  9. Serve with hot naans.
