Remove veins and place prawns in a plate (keep the tail attached).

Place on cutting board, put cuts on each prawn gently.
|
|
Apply 1/2 tsp salt, white pepper and lemon juice and place aside for marination for 1 hour.

Beat egg white in a bowl and make egg stiff.
|
|
Mix flour (maida), corn flour, water, oil, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and egg yolk in another bowl. Make a batter.

Mix batter and egg white stiff just before frying. |
|
Holding from tail, dip each prawn in the mixture and fry in hot oil. |
|
Serve with tomato ketchup and French fries. |

How to Make Prawn Tempura
|
Ingredients: - Prawns (with tail): 1/2 kg
- Flour (maida): 1/4 kg
- Egg White: 2
- Egg Yolk: 2
- Salt for marination: 1/2 tsp
- Salt for batter: 1/2 tsp
- White Pepper: 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice: 2 tbsp
- Baking Powder: 1 tsp
- Oil: 3/4 cup
- Corn Flour: 6 tbsp
- Water: 1/2 cup

Method: |
- Remove veins of the prawns and place in a platter (do not remove the tail).
- Now place the prawns on cutting board and put light slits on each prawn.
- Marinate with 1/2 tsp salt, white pepper and lemon juice for one hour.
- Whisk egg whites in a bowl and make stiff.
- Mix maida flour, corn flour, water, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, oil and egg yolks well and make a thick batter.
- Mix batter and egg white stiff together immediately before frying.
- Prawns are ready when fried.
- Serve with tomato ketchup and French fries.
