Add chicken, water, whole onion and black peppercorns together in a pan and boil.

When it reduced to 4 cups of water, yakhni is ready.

Detach chicken filaments from hen's neck and wings.

Heat oil in another pan for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add garlic and fry slightly.

Add yakhni.

Add salt, green chilies, white chili, sugar and Chinese salt and cook for 3 to 4 minutes at low flame.

Dissolve corn flour in water and slowly add into yakhni. Keep stirring spoon.

When it is thick, turn the stove off.

Add vinegar and remove from stove.

Tasty Thai Soup is Ready to Serve.
Garnish Soup with Green Onions, Chicken, Fried Rice and Serve Vinegar in a Separate Bowl.


Preparing Thai Soup

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Yakhni: 4 cups
  • Crushed Garlic: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Green Chili (Chopped): 6 to 8 pcs
  • Vinegar/Lemon Juice: 1/4 cup
  • Crushed White Chili: 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Chinese Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Corn Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Cooking Oil: 2 to 3 tablespoons

Soup Accoutrements:

  • Chicken (Boiled Filaments): 1 cup
  • Green Onion (Thin Chopped): 1 pcs
  • Fried Rice: 1/2 cup
  • Lemon Juice: 1/2 cup

 

Method

 
  1. For making yakhni, boil 1/2 kg chicken bones in 8 to 10 cups of water unless water is reduced to 4 cups. To prevent yakhni from smell, add one peeled onion (whole) and
    2 to 4 black peppercorns after simmering.
  2. In another pan, heat cooking oil for 2 to 3 minutes and fry garlic slightly, add yakhni and cook until it gets simmered.
  3. Add salt, green chilies, white chili, sugar and Chinese salt and cook for 3 to 4 minutes at low heat.
  4. Dissolve corn flour in 4 tablespoons of water and pour into yakhni slowly and keep stirring spoon.
  5. Lastly, add vinegar or lemon juice and remove from the stove.
