Chicken Karahi Recipe in English


  • Chicken pieces: 1/2 kg
  • Cubed Tomatoes: 1/4 kg
  • Ginger Garlic Paste: 2 tsp
  • Red Pepper Powder: 1 tbsp
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • White Cumin Powder: 1 tbsp
  • All Spice Powder: 1 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander: as much you like
  • Large Green Chillies: 6 chopped
  • Ghee: 1/2 cup
  • Water: 1/2 cup
  • Ginger Juliennes: 1 tbsp



  1. Heat ghee in wok, add ginger garlic paste.
  2. Add 1/2 cup water and mix well.
  3. Add chicken, cover pan and cook well.
  4. Cook for a while and add cubed tomatoes, salt, white cumin powder and red chillies. Mix and cook.
  5. Once chicken is soft and water is dried, add green chillies & all-spice powder and cook covered on steam (dam) for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add chopped coriander and ginger.
  7. Delicious chicken karahi is ready.
  8. Serve and enjoy with hot nan or chapati.
