Ingredients
8 oz butter
8 oz caster sugar
4 eggs
8 oz self raising flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
1 ½ tbsp hot water
Icing :
150gm dark chocolate
4 oz butter
2 oz milk chocolate or white chocolate
How to make Marbled Chocolate Ring

METHOD:

Beat butter, sugar and add eggs, fold in flour and baking powder.

Divide the batter in two.

Mix cocoa and water in a separate bowl till no lumps remain.

Mix in one half of the batter. Put half of the plain cake batter in a greased ring mould, dot with the cocoa batter.

Swirl with a knife until you get a marbled effect.

Bake at 180C for 30 minutes.

Cool for the icing, melt chocolate with butter, pour over cake and let set.

Melt the milk chocolate or white chocolate separately and pipe it over the cooled frosting.
