• Mince meat ½ kg
• Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
• Mint leaves 10 chopped
• Green chilies 6
• Onion 1 large
• Gram flour 2 tbsp
• Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
• Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
• Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
• Chili powder 1 tsp
• Salt 1 tsp
• Dried plums 15
Ingredients for masala
• Onion 2 blended
• Ginger garlic 1tsp heaped
• Green chilies 6 chopped
• Oil ½ cup
• Green chilies 4
• Cloves 4
• Black pepper 8
• Coriander powder 2 tsp
• Turmeric ½ tsp
• Salt 1 tsp
• Chili powder 1 tsp heaped
• Yogurt 1 cup
• Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
METHOD:
• Grind together onion, green chilies, mint, ginger garlic, fennel seeds, poppy seeds and cumin seeds to a smooth paste.Mix with mince, salt and chili powder .Add ¼ cup water and mix well.
• Add 2 tbsp roasted gram flour; form into balls, filling each ball with 1 dried plum. Reshape into a smooth ball.Heat oil in a wok, fry a few mince balls one at a time, drain and keep aside
Method for masala
• In a blender blend together onion, ginger garlic and green chilies.Heat ½ cup oil ,add blended paste and fry for 10 minutes.Add whole spices with coriander powder, chili powder, cumin, turmeric and salt, add beaten yogurt.
• Fry masala well and add 1 ½ cup water.When the mixture begins to boil boiling add fried koftay, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, serve sprinkled with coriander leaves.
