How to make Custard Fruit Tart
METHOD:
Take a bowl and add flour, Slice butter into it, Mix with a hand blender or two forks till it forms coarse crumbs.
Now add water, lemon juice and knead till makes a dough and is firm,
Make the dough into a ball and flatten with a rolling pin and place on butter paper. Place in fridge for half an hour.
Now press the dough into an oven tart bowl and fill the bottom and sides with dough .The bottom should be removable later, cover with foil. Leave aside to get firm. For 15 minutes.
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and bake for 15-29 minutes. Then remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes till it is golden brown. Take out and set aside for cooling.
Take eggs and with a whisk or fork stir them till blended.
Take the custard in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons milk and blend slowly and form a smooth mixture.
Take a pan and add milk. Boil for 5 minutes and then slowly add custard mixture and stir constantly to avoid balls in it. When it thickens a little slowly add whisked eggs and keep stirring on low flame. Be very careful not to let it stick or burn.
When custard is ready set aside in fridge to cool.
Now take the tart,
Add custard and when 3/4 filled add toppings of strawberries and other fruit, Sprinkle a little lemon juice on top. You may use ice cream or dairy cream on top also.
