Flour ½ kg
Salt ½ tsp
Water as required
Clarified butter as required
For filling:
Gram lentil 250 gm
Onion 1 (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Black cumin seeds ½ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
All spice powder ½ tsp
How to make Bihari Paratha
METHOD:
Boil the gram lentil with the chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, black cumin seeds, salt, all spice powder and 2 cups of water.
When the lentil becomes tender and water dries up, take off flame and allow it to cool.
Grind the cooked lentils until a smooth paste is formed.
Take flour in a bowl and add salt and little water to it and knead well.
Divide the dough into 10 equal parts and roll in balls.
Take one ball and separate it into two equal balls.
Flatten one of the dough balls using a rolling pin and place a bit of the lentil paste and spread it out.
Take the other smaller ball, flatten it and cover the one with the lentil paste on it and roll with the rolling pin.
Repeat the same with the rest of the dough balls.
Fry on a griddle adding clarified butter then Serve hot.
